Glossy Black Social Network Icons
There are more than a few sets of social network icons out there these days. And damn nice some of them are too. But this set from Webtreats Etc stands out from the crowd because it ditches the usual Web 2.0 riot of colour in favour of a uniform black on a glossy circular button.
There are a total of 108 icons in the pack and while they might not fit every web site it’s nice to see an alternative to the ususal styling.

5 Great Box Graphic Resources
It’s just one of those things, at some point you’re going to need a good box graphic. Whether it’s for an icon pack, an installer icon or one of those trendy graphics with a box bursting at the seams with goodies… at some point you’re sure to need to get you hands on some decent resources for building something boxy. Well, fear not dear designer because here are the five best resources for doing just that.
Icon Lab’s Build Your Own Box kit is the perfect place to start.
neoaeduardors‘ Software Install Box Icon is really well done and comes as a fully editable layered Photoshop PSD file.
PhotoshopCandy’s nice and simple Cool Cardboard Box is also available as a layered PSD file.
va-deam offers us his rather nifty box template for developers as a full-scalable PSD template.
2Shi’s got a great DropBox Icon.
And as if all of that wasn’t enough to be getting on with, PSVibes have got a great tutorial for those of you who really want to go it alone and create a shiny 3D box icon from scratch.
